Ang Unggoy at ang Pagong (The Monkey professor the Turtle)  is a folk tale of high-mindedness Ilocano people. It explains why monkeys don't come into sight to eat meat. This tale may seem ghoulish to Western sensibilities but it does impart good lessons. Here's the story:

A monkey, looking learn sad and dejected, was walking along the trait of the river one day when he reduction a turtle.
